Not a bad birchbeer, but nothing amazing either. Great to find this at the Plaza Deli in Santa Barbara. I've said it before and I'll say it again - if you're looking for unusual or vintage sodas, the Plaza Deli in LaCumbre Plaza is the place to go.

Chinese Coke - 4 Thumbs up

Coke from China is about the same flavor but a little more mild. It reminded me of Starbucks coffee in China. The same, but milder. What it does have that ours does not is a hot anime drawing on the side and a pull tab.

Apple Sidra came from Billy Jankowski who has an innate ability to find strange sodas that taste like bile. Joking aside, they may not taste great but they are fun.
You can really taste the sidra...
I don't recommend this Korean soda.

The Pop Shoppe Orange is trying hard to be the sugariest soda ever made. It has a definite orange taste and orange color in a fun little bottle but I feel like I'm drinking pure orange syrup. Three thumbs up

Jones Antacid Soda was one of the holiday flavors in 2006. I have kept this very pink beverage in my garage fridge for years to show people but had to finally try it. It legitimately tastes like Pepto. If you like a chalky bismuth flavor, then this soda is for you. Novelty aside, it is gross.

Thank you to Billy Jankowski for this truly strange Russian soda.
I don't read Russian but am pretty sure that one of the ingredients says "elf root."
The closest flavor that I can consider this is peach. Mostly, it tastes like bile. Pick this soda up if only to check the ingredient list, but do not taste it.

Asoleado Guarana from New York.
When you have guarana in your soda and guarana in your name, one might expect guarana in the flavor and kick. This soda has none of that. It has a mild guarana flavor but is a generally weak soda.

Excellent.
If you are looking for a dark rootbeer, then look no further. A big thank you to Ben Farber for bringing this to me from Santa Monica. Instead of cane sugar or HFCS, they use molasses which gives it that great dark taste.

They have committed to making their bottles from plant products instead of plastics. Let's hope that this trend picks up from all soda manufacturers!

A very strange brown plastic bottle houses this honey brewed drink. I like honey normally, but wow. It tastes expired...

It also tastes like boiled honey and seltzer. Not a pleasant taste in a soda. Billy Jankowski found this in a Russian market in Arizona. A good find but a bad taste.

It has a great cherry taste like drinking jelly belly jellybeans. Slightly lower score because I couldn't see myself drinking more than one of these before getting diabetes. Fantastic red coloring!

Another great soda found at the Plaza Deli in Santa Barbara. Stop in for some great sandwiches and sodas in the La Cumbre Plaza to find this and other cool sodas.

Out of Seattle, this cola is made from cane sugar which leads to a great, smooth taste. This is what you should be thinking of when you drink a cola. See their website at www.pigironbbq.net

Another great soda from the Pithy Little Soda Works out of San Luis Obispo!

Pure cane sugar is used and you can taste the difference. I have not been disappointed from one of their sodas yet. Thanks guys!

9 thumbs up for this awesome fruit drink. It's carbonated, so it barely qualifies as a soda. Still, it is delicious.

I tastes like strong grapefruit, which is good to me. Pick one up when you're at Cost Plus!
